When it comes to making Test debuts, there's Marvan Atapattu at one end of the spectrum, and Axar Patel at the other.

Great Stuff Kimba The Lion of Broadmeadows! Axar had the Poms by the balls in a manner speaking and they did not have a clue or where the next one was coming from.

Not sure we can actually call him jadeja's understudy bcoz he doesn't field like jadeja and batting's not that good, the only similarity is the left arm finger spinner thing

But if u were to just take the bowling averages of someone with a few tests and a bunch of wickets it's quite similar to Kyle jamieson who averages 13.28 right now - although Kyle is scoring a lot more runs too. kyle has the attributes to exploit swing and bounce and axar the attributes to exploit turn, last time in New Zealand india faced their kiwi axar equivalent in jamieson

Great Article. Need to see Jadeja, Ash and Axar playing in the same test now!

I thought he bowled his worse today. Especially to Dan Lawrence when the ball was old. Lawrence was cutting him well on the backfoot and then when he pitched up he drove him back over his head for a boundary. He was not unplayable. Feel the English batsmen lacked the technique. But to be all out for 135 on this wicket was a little disappointing. Great article and you have a subscriber
