I’ve taken a quick look at the four teams to leave our World Cup, kinda of before it started.

We need to start with PNG and the Dutch because there are people who think these are poor teams. But the Netherlands defeated PNG in the final won the Qualifying tournament - which was played in the UAE. So if you are thinking, wow, these two teams really stunk up the joint, they’re nowhere near as good as Scotland or Namibia, remember when the qualifiers were played, they were better. Think of it this way: Mumbai won the IPL and looked like an incredible and unbeatable team. This year they spent most of their time looking at best mediocre. These things happen.

And we are judging teams here based on three games. But what I have tried to do is look at larger patterns of these sides.
