Some notes on the ODIs, I rarely watch bilateral ODI series. But I was being paid to watch this, and it was the best two teams in the world, so it was interesting. Even if we are a million days away from a World Cup. 

England and the middle overs with the ball

The combo of Liam Plunkett and Adil Rashid for England's middle overs worked so well. Plunkett inventing a new position where all his wickets seemed to come from dirty drag downs and Adil Rashid attacking from the other end. They weren't parsimonious, but they took enough wickets in the middle to destabilise other batting line ups. Rashid struggled to have a significant impact in these games partially because he went up against the Indian top and middle order. They don't like giving wickets and play spin better than most (plus the wickets didn't turn).
