Thanks for focusing on this. Bangalore is a second home city, so this tragedy hit pretty hard. The familiarity with the city and the stadium make the images of limp teenagers being carried away all to confronting to me.

What I can’t fathom is that the IPL governing council hadn’t used its position to convene planning meetings with all four finalist cities once the finalists were known.

Surely there’s some policy of checklist at the IPL that guides event management coordination with the authorities and franchise in advance?
