Neil, I was there, he was not out of form. Almost everyone is out of form at the start of the innings, as I said in the Burns bit. Once Warner didn't get triggered, run out or or dismissed early, he was in the exact same form as he had been a week prior in the nets, and probably Canada.

Strike Rate after facing at least 19 balls by year for Warner
2017 - 157
2018 - 128
2019 - 157
2020 - 143
His set SR numbers that CPL were poor for whatever reason. Pretty exceptional circumstances that him and Smith faced being called out by their own prime minister. Whether that's form or mentally a bit shot or small sample size who knows. I do remember him getting a couple of absolute laughable decisions that series like you say.
Neil, he was telling me he was in good form, I can't be any more clear than this. I was watching him dispatch international bowlers all over the place in the nets. He was not in averaging 12 form. He also played a different role for the team, he didn't open all the time, which would probably effect his strike rate because he was batting at 4. The one time he made a 50 he did it purposefully batting slower, because we wanted Fletcher, Cornwall and Pollard to swing away. And for Warner to be in averaging 12 form, his strike rate would have to be far lower than 128.
