Pinch Blocker - lovely term. Although while reading it, my brain couldn't help but kept screaming - it's effin Night Watchman for ODIs!! Comes on to protect rest of the lineup & in the process collect whatever on offer, albeit a bit quicker (maybe not 🤷♂️)

Nightwatcher is obviously a bit more single use, they are really only needed for a few overs at most. And no one is saying the batting isn’t good enough, just that losing another wicket would be a pain. This is really about lengthening your batting and ensure the other players have more freedom while using your batting order for its strengths.
